Taken this before...(And ETA'd opinions American Idol performers.)
A few answers changed, but not many. Good to know though that a certain something hasn't done a lot of damage...

Phil (Blaze of Glory)
Okay...that wasn't so bad. Don't like that they hacked out the middle, but then this is supposed to be short and sweet so they can fit them all in.
Guy has a good voice, nailed the lyrics (even when he added a few words), but I do agree that he...uh...over acted with the arms a bit. Dude, feel the song, don't sign it...you're not Jon yet.

Jordan...(Livin' on a Prayer)
Good voice--not suited for this style. But they did Motown it for her a little, which helped. She...her lungs sound like they're fighting for it though. She might have done better with a ballad. And she failed to nail the high note, which she should have been able to do...:/
..Can someone shoot Simon, please?

Lakisha (This Ain't a Love Song)
Jon seems to think she'll do good.
...please quit adding words...
Good rote deilivery....I'm not feeling it though. There is soul sound and blues sound, and even a little gospel...but...I don't feel it. So yeah, sound wise? good. Soul Wise?....uh....(Everyone else likes it though. Must be me.)

Blake (You Give Love a Bad Name)
Okay, I love this guy. So completely off in left field. But damn, just right. He took Jon's advice to them all and honestly made it his own and it came out awesome. If I were voting, he has it.

Chris (Wanted Dead or Alive)
His voice is suited for the genre, but maybe not the style. He wavers a little on the notes, and the hesitations kinda sound like he keeps losing track of the words. I think...if he'd had a few more days, was less nervous, and just...relaxed...it would have been good. Well, it's good now...but it could have really brought the house down. He was too worried about doing it wrong. And maybe not singing something from last year would have been good.

Melinda (Have a Nice Day)
Oh, baby, I'm in love. 'Nuff said.
That wasn't as painful as I thought it would be...

The Keys to Your Heart |
![]() You are attracted to good manners and elegance. In love, you feel the most alive when everything is uncertain, one moment heaven... the next moment hell. You'd like to your lover to think you are optimistic and happy. You would be forced to break up with someone who was ruthless, cold-blooded, and sarcastic. Your ideal relationship is lasting. You want a relationship that looks to the future... one you can grow with. Your risk of cheating is zero. You care about society and morality. You would never break a commitment. You think of marriage as something precious. You'll treasure marriage and treat it as sacred. In this moment, you think of love as something you don't need. You just feel like flirting around and playing right now. |
