Absolutely, I agree with you 100%. Totally uncalled for, and there is no excuse for that kind of backward ignorance in this day and age. I don't care if it was a "slip" like people have been saying -- if that kind of thing is what "slips", what does it say about what you usually THINK?
And really, free speech is a joke in this context. Sure, he has all the free speech to say whatever he wants in the world, but the right to free speech is not a right to a protection from criticism based on what you do with that right. It's his right to make racist, putrid filth, and it's my right to call him a goddamn good-for-nothing ignorant backwards-ass redneck fuck for it.
Good for him. He deserves every drop of what he gets over this. That woman is PROBABLY going to be our next first lady; however you feel about that, as a person, she deserves respect, well and above this. And hell, even if she was just a grocery clerk or something else, there is NO excuse, IMO.
