hahah yeah, fair enough. And really, what a lot of it comes down to is that I was pretty attached to the original ending; it struck me as basically perfect for all the assorted reasons I've gone into here. When the rest of the movie was so faithful (for the most part), that just left me going ".....what. No, really. WHAT."
