I think the feeling obligated thing is a holdover from when I was close enough to my grandmother's house to go sit there and watch it with the rest of the family (which is more fun than sitting in the apartment by myself to watch it). In other words, old social programming with no current use, since I'm in Texas, and my family is all back in Tucson, Arizona.

Thanks. :) That's a picture of Foot, three days after I took her in from the street and before she was wholly comfortable living with me. She'd crawled under there to sleep, and I don't think she realized her rear was still out in the open, so I grabbed my camera and took the pic before she pulled her legs out of sight. :)
