I have determined

That although I like Anyada, I don't really have the thought process to comfortably play a shaman. It doesn't feel right, they don't fight in a way I'm used to, the magic doesn't 'do it' for me and so forth. I also have a hard time soloing on her. Combination of not as effective in fights the way I tend to fight with the preceeding statement of they don't 'feel' right. :/

I'm not sure what to do about that; whether I should just tough it out for a few more levels and see if I click with it any better, or reroll her as another class. I don't want to give up on it, but what's the point of having the character if I'm 'meh' about touching her because I don't like how she fights? There's also the fact that she's been wonderfully gifted...and I'd feel really weird shifting it to a new character, but also weird giving the stuff back to those who gifted me (no point in it going to waste if I retire shaman-version Anyada...).

I did roll a nelf druid tonight just for the heck of it, and I think I'll like them as much as I like the hunter class. Even though on the surface they seem very similar to shaman, I just click with the button/spell rotation better, and they seem to have a similar 'feel' as to how they fight in comaprison to hunters. Maybe that's what I should do with Anyada...?

I like the new pet tab. I managed to more or less rebuild Ari's talent tree the way it was before the patch, but I seem to be missing a point or two. :/ I also like having a talent tree for Elder--gives me more control over how I want him to function in battle.

Tried the barbershop on Ari (I can't figure out how to get my nelfs to Stormwind, so I'm going to have to go looking for a map in the next few days). I wound up doing nothing more exciting than giving her earrings on her upper ears. But...it looks good, so I'm happy.

From Darnassus, go to Ashenvale. Facing away from the inn, run to the left-side dock; it'll take you to the Wetlands. Get the flight point. Run through the Wetlands along the road - do not take any forks. Then go through the tunnels into Loch Modan; follow that road straight sound and go through THOSE tunnels into Dun Morogh. Follow the signs to Ironforge.

When you get to Ironforge, get the flight point. Then go into Tinker Town and take the underground tram to Stormwind.

The barber shop is in the trade district, on the northern edge.

:)

Bless you. And thanks. :)

The Shaman class isn't all about spells. There's the enchancement spec, which is a close range fighting class. They focus around using the shock spells and totems to your advantage to close the gap so you can get close and proceed to smack them in the face. Elemental is the casting class, which it sounds like it's not your cup of tea.

And as for returning the gifts, you can't return those bags, they bind on equip >:( So your going to have to tough through it! (I kid, I kid) Once I get home, I'll help you out to getting you to a high enough level and some gear so you feel like a melee class. RFC here we come!

Actually there's a boat directly from Darkshore to Stormwind Harbor now. I dunno which one it is, tho.

*nods* I think my frustration spell-wise is that it doesn't seem as efficient as the Ranger 'shoot 'em full of arrows and then punch them in the nuts while your pet continues to savage them when they finally reach you' thing. There's a much longer 'reload' time on the shaman spells. Even the druid 'wrath' spell seems to be faster in regards to cooldown. :/

It could also be that I'm just frustrated because I can't turn things into mauled pincushions yet. You do have to think differently. ;)

When do you get home?

Yeah, I personally don't care much for Shaman either. <__< Maybe you can roll another Druid and/or Hunter? And yeah, don't worry about those bags OR the kitty either. I make those netherweave bags by the truckload on Sal, and I can replace the cat easily too. :3 It's more important to play a class and character you really like.

*nods*

I'll prolly at least try and get her to 15-20 just to see if it improves, but if it doesn't....

Man, I'd feel like I'd be letting you guys down. XD

Seriously though, if it becomes a lost cause, I can always roll up a new toon and then mail most of what you all gave me to her, right (I haven't 'learned' the kitty yet after the patch because I was waiting for stuff to stable out, so I should be able to mail the carrier if it comes down to it)?

Not till Saturday. And we may stay even longer.

And yeah, Hunters are one of the most efficient classes at just killin' stuff, so you've been kinda spoiled. :P

I'll see if I can get her a little higher on my own then until then.

Not to mention I always have an extra set of 'hands' as a hunter. :) That always makes life better when you're not alone, even when you are. :D

Ah, yes, that's true! You should indeed be able to ship the cat over to your other character. If not, again, don't sweat it. We can easily replace her. :3

Otherwise, yeah, just make sure to liquidate all your money and items and mail 'em over to your new person. And then we will start fresh and it'll be awesome.
