*Snerk* on me...

Headed for work. Have a slight headache because the plant life has finally decided that it's okay to do it's yearly pollination thing. But that's all right, because I have new contacts in, I got enough sleep between a nap yesterday and a pretty peaceful night, and I have music on the radio. (Okay, I dunno about you, but after that sentence, I can hear 99 in the Shade in my head...)

So I'm be-bopping down the road, singing along with INXS...and someone flashes their lights in the church parking lot just as I come even with it.

Oh...oh, no wait. That isn't just 'someone'. That's a cop.

Annnnndddddd I look down at the speedometer.

50.

WHOOPS.

Anyhow, so I get pulled over.

Did all the usual. got my stuff out before he even got out of his cruiser. Smiled. Told him the truth (which was I was listening to my music and not paying attention), etc. and so forth.

I got off with just a 'courtesy warning'.

Probably helped that I've never had a ticket during the eight or so years I've had this car.

Probably also helped that I was smiling (and apologizing) and not giving the guy a hard time for doing his job.

So, the lesson here?

Don't get into too much trouble.
Don't give the cop a hard time

and, probably, most importantly...

If Car+Music=Leadfoot for you...maybe you ought to turn the music down.

Secondary moral: Nobody got an eye put out, wound up bleeding, or went home crying. No harm, no foul.

Have a good day, hon!

That too.

Personally, I'm just laughing at myself. And also telling myself this is much better than getting pulled over for tailgating a cop.

...Which is funny too.

You know, it's probably a good thing I didn't get famous when I was young. Paparazzi would have LOVED me for my moving violationsm, though.

*HUGS* You have a good day too. ^^
