Happy Dance and a Glare....how's that for divided?

Happy Dance!
Well, for those of you who care, you'll be happy to know that after roughly a month or so of not giving any updates (IE: I hit the old 'bottom out and stay there for awhile' stage of weight loss), my body has finally decided that it really is okay to get rid of a few more pounds...that I'm not going to starve away to nothing and fall over dead on the spot.
Either that, or it finally found the key to the fat storeroom, which must have been kicked under the kitchen table at some point, so that it doesn't have to go out and buy more food yet, so to speak...^^;
Anyhow--WOOT! I now weigh *fanfare, please!*.....189 pounds.

I really don't get people sometimes...
Dear Clearchannel,
All right...I'll admit, I got a little upset when you 'Shot the Eagle' (A radio station down Dallas way that played mostly old and new metal, thrash, and hard rock), and replaced it with something that plays Barry Manilow and Billy Joel (not that I have a problem with that kind of music either, but I have other stations on my dial that play that sort of thing if I want it). I did froth at the mouth, I did snarl, but I got over it, even though there was not another station like it that my radio could pick up.
I can (sort of) understand the company tenant of wanting the airwaves to be cleaned up of those 'foul mouthed' and 'obnoxious' DJ's (except that some of it can be funny if done correctly and respectfully--and yes, darlings, it is possible to do so). Thus, that meant some of the more 'questionable music' (like, say, oh, Marilyn Manson? Black Sabbat?) must go as well. I know you guys are trying to promote family values and 'Christian Morals' (whatever the hell that means...) through the acts of your company. I don't agree with your agenda or methods, but as long as there are independant stations, I'll just keep an eye on you instead of demanding a revolutionary war on the Corporate Radio machine. Morality, even pretend morality, sells now-adays.
However, you are prodding a sleeping beast...and that's rather stupid...
You see, I sort of understand the let's get the music that cusses and is rude and it obnoxious off the air so that we can 'protect' (*coughhackchokegasp) our listeners from such crap...
What I don't get is that you over-ran and destroyed the Christian Rock Station--one of your own stations, that played (get this, Dear Audience)...

Queue horrified gasps and wails of fear here...
Say the fuck what? Since when is a type of music in and of itself (gasp!Shudder!) EVIL???? Did I miss my ride on the short bus? Is that what the problem is here?

Although, wait...maybe if you piss off enough of your own 'people', they'll throw your dumb asses off the air...
That would be...nice...
Keep going...if we have enough people with braincells left, you'll hang yourselves eventually...if not, maybe we'll deserve the end result this is leading to...

A note: I'm condemning Clearchannel's methods as they masquerade their agenda in the clothes of 'Christianity', when in reality, they're just adding to the 'Dumbing Down' process and the 'We're taking away all your constitutional rights slowly so that you don't really notice until it's too damned late' process.
Christians don't do this...greedy Politicians and over-paid Corporate Executives however, do....
