Dear Nelf Hunter Trainer

Fuck you and your spotted pony. The belf training did not make me chose between death by ambush, death by spider nest, death by walking into a mutant bear village, or death by somethhing with 'Horn' in the title, but considering it was out of the way and isolated, I'm pretty sure it was a boss fight. And after narrowly escaping all that, I still didn't find the fucking owls you said were to the west.

No wonder Nelfs have a reputation for being pissy little bastards.

I'm going to bed now, and you can just suck it, because I'm already two hours past my bed time.

Not sincerely
Grouchy Old Fart Who Just Wants Her Spotted Kitty, Damnit.

Sorry I missed you last night...last night was kinda nuts.

I understand where you're coming from, though. Some of those lowbie areas were built when the Blizzard devs were drunk or something.

It's okay--I was actually over on Jess' server, not yours. You get one of my two pretty Draenei when I finally get to them (Mephron gets the other). I think I'm on a rotational schedual at this point. I keep promising to level up Anyada on Beth's and Del's server, so tonight, once I find those dumb owls, finish out part two of hunter training and get Shidhe her spotted kitty, I'll be switching to Anyada for the rest of the evening--so hopefully I'll be on that server by 8pm central (I have to take Ula to the vets in RL this afternoon after work, so I'm not likely to hop on any server until 6 or so, after calming the cats, feeding them, getting showered, etc if I don't get out from work early enough to shower before we go, eating, blah blah blah.

What nights are you usually on, BTW? I'm starting to set up a schedual so that even though I'm low level on my toons, I'm at least on the right servers when most folks are there. Eventually, I'll be leveled enough to actually be useful, but having the server schedule up before that point will help a lot I think.

And yeah. Comparetively speaking, the older Nelf area is harder on the toon in the second town than the Belf one is. If this were representative of the comparitive ease of life, the Belf's have it pretty good in comparison, mana addiction not-with-standing. Either that, or it seems harder because I spent a little less time leveling with the Nelf and didn't do the hunter quest until level 11 on my belf (granted, it was because I couldn't find the quest giver, but still).

What's annoying me in the Nelf area is that the other quests are freaking killer as well--you almost need to have at least one other person with you for the caves and the bear villages (although I got through the first one okay by being sneaky and then teleporting back to the inn once I'd found the trinket). I died about six times before giving up on the cave until I was higher level and/or had my kitty, and the other bear people village where you had to kill several mystics and get the gemstone back from the cheiftain I took advantage of the fact that another player showed up obviously for the same thing.

So I covered his back while he cleared most of the village, grabbed the shiny from the dead cheif the first time I killed him (and then died myself because I'd pulled a warrior on me as well), and then studk around after I rezzed and covered the other player's back from a distance until he did the same thing when cheify respawned.

As a belf, that didn't happen anywhere near as often because it wasn't needed.
