*Has a Texas freakout*

OMGWTF THERE'S WHITE SHIT ON THE GROUND!!!! AND IT'S STILL FALLING FROM THE SKYYYYYYYYYYYY

...this concludes my obligatory south-westerner freak-out over Snow In Texas. You all can go back to sleep, now.

(And now I'll make battle plans for getting to work without finding every patch of ice on the road XD).

It's so pretty!!!!!

It is!

And for once, it's the real thing; not 'ice and rain pretending to be snow', which is what we usually get (and, alas, if Mr Weatherman is to be believed, what will happen later today before it all freezes again. :( )

It's slushy though so the roads are gonna suuuuuck. My doctor's appointment is like three exits down 183 and I'm going to leave like an hour before it.

The slush actually isn't that bad; at least if you get a tire in it (and not on the edge) it can actually help with traction as long as you don't speed demon it.

of course, that's where the problem lies; with other drivers who will go bolting down the road like it's bone dry and not slippery.

My tires arne't exactly ideal for these conditions. I had no plans to move out of SoCal when I got the car and the dealer put on special wheels and skinny tires. :(

Oh, Ack.

DART for a day, maybe?
