So...watching a show on National Geographic about the Book of Revelations and end times and all that...



And the before-commrcial shot is The Antichrist will gather the world's forces for one last big huge ass battle. You know, the Last Big Gasp of Good vs. Evil.

And...my first though is...if all the good dudes were Raptured...then who the heck is fighting this war?

First thought is...angels and demons.

Which...doesn't fit.

Apperently the excuse is 'those that weren't believers before the Rapture but are now'.

But, wait...if all that's left after Rapture are the poor schmoes that just don't (and can't) get it, then who...?

...somehow, I still think there's a flaw in the logic.

But that's just me.

That's because the idea of a "rapture" happening before the "big tribulation" is a misinterpretation of scripture. Sure, a lot of Christians believe in it, but that doesn't make it correct. The word "rapture" in this context doesn't even exist in scripture (and I'm not sure it's in there at all, in any context). FYI, it's last-days tribulation, "rapture", Second Coming, rather than "rapture", tribulation, S.C.

I was just re-reading some study notes on the subject, and now I can't remember where the idea started, but it wasn't with one of the original scriptural authors. I can go dig up my source if you're interested, though. :)
