So I come home. I greet and pet Foot for several minutes, then go and greet and pet Ula in the bedroom (both of them are chirruping when I get home. :) ).
Then I go lay on the dining room floor for a few minutes.
Foot sits behind the recliner on one side.
Ula ventures to the door frame and then over to me. There's staring going on, but it stays relatively peaceful for a few minutes before there's an exchange of low, short growls. Ula retires to the bed; Foot relaxes and lays out behind the recliner. They can still see each other, but they're not hissing or growling.
I get up to check my mail. Ula ventures to the door again. I notice, too late, that Foot has crouched in preparation for charging. Fully fluffed out, she gives chase. They disappear into the bedroom. I expect the usual hiss growl to start up.
A few seconds later, though, Ula is chasing Foot bakc behind the recliner. Both of them are fluffed to the max. There's maybe one or two hisses, and then they switch again, and back into the bedroom they go, Ula in the lead.
They do this three times with a minimal amount of hissing and no growls (but both looking like multi-colored cotton balls) before they retire to 'their' rooms.
...is this a good thing? It's been peaceful for the rest of the evening so far.
