okay....let's see.

The woman from work...(incidentally a friend, although I did not say that before)
Her son's viewing was Sunday...the funeral Monday. I didn;t make it to either because the family rep from work didn;t bother to email until everyone had already gone home for the weekend, including me. Not that I'm a fan of funerals or anything, but the choice would have been nice.

The mother, as of now, is still in shock and more or less being coaxed into things like eating. And...no one has really seen her since Monday. That's about all I know.

My mate and I had a scare starting Monday as well...she was actually home for the day and got a call from Florida from her great aunts neighbors. Woman apparently had a stroke and a CVA at once. By the end of it, the aunt was as okay physically as she was going to get, but was also being put into a nursing home and under observation because the docs think she might have dementia. Mate of course was a mess this whole time, frantically trying to get there, since Aunt was raising a stink and wanted her there yesterday if not sooner according to people there.

About the time mate has everything set up though, Aunt manages a call and basically told her 'no--I don't want you to come unless I'm sure I'm dying'.

OOookay.

Anyhow, after minor explosion, a lot of crying, and more than enough hours of assuring her that I wouldn't be leaving her just because she gets old and demented, mate seems to be okay now, but hey, I'm still keeping an eye on her.

By comparison, my period-induced monthly madness and crabby ass shit seems pretty damned tame. Other than right now I'm dealing with my stupid ass brain which is telling me all the usual things that make for a good old fashioned wangst post...

Shoot me. Or get the chocolate...or both.

Incidentally, for those who MIGHT be interested...I'll either be revamping my three LJ's, or killing one and making a new one, depending on what input I get from other folks about one of the existing LJ's. The third LJ will consist of mostly what I'm calling 'workshop' stuff--art, ideas, writing for original stuff, instead of subjecting folks to it here. If anyone is interested in having access, let me know, and I'll let you know what journal it will be in once I've got it straightened out.
