You know

I really hate reality shows. I think they're one of the most mean-spirited things modern entertainment has come up with.

Except Biggest Loser.

I still hate the 'must eliminate' thing, but any show that can make me cheer, cry, smile, appreciate and feel good about team spirit and the human nature, and feel energized afterwards?

Good show. I'm sorry I missed the seasons that came before.

The thing

I like about Biggest Loser is that even the losers are winners. Yes it has 'elimination' but the whole nature of the show is different.

Yeah, exactly. Changed lives, better lives, better health, etc. They're all heroes and no shame, yanno?

Also, there's also honest regret when they have to vote people off. (Watching elim right now. OWCH).

I like Top Chef, Project Runway and Top Design. And, uh, Rock Of Love, which is hi-larious, albeit totally degrading to Bret and the girls all.

No doubt The Biggest Loser will be out on DVD soon. Everything is, these days. I might catch up with it then.

I might check out Top Chef at some point. I'm not enough into style and modeling to watch the second or third.

Rock of Love made me roll my eyes as soon as it started advertizing. To me, it's just Bret doing what he'd be doing anyway w/out the camera following him around, which is just finding the next girl to fuck (and I'm pretty sure girls off camera do just as many stupid, zany, etc. things to get his attention then, too). Eh. Boring (to me).

Oh, it's not about the style and the modeling, it's about the art. Like last season on PR, they made them make outfits with things they trash-picked from the recycling center. Good times! The people that are just about style or just about modeling leave pretty early. I think you'd dig it.

Hahaha, Bret is a mimbo. Jon is 12 times smarter than Bret, you can tell just by listenting to him talk.

That might be fun then, if only to see the 'purists' going 'ewwwwwwwwwwwwwww!' when given a task, *g*

Bret is pretty (not as much as he used to be, but still), but...yeah. There's a reason I like Jon and don't really swoon over most of the rest of the old school rockers. :) I like pretty, but I like brains and soul more (pretty just catches my eye first because I'm still human and definitely not dead below the belt, all things said and done).
