Dentist Update
So, the verdict is:
Defintely four teeth to be pulled--three of which are wisdom teeth, so not as big a deal as it could have been if it had been main molars. There might be a fifth one as well depending on whether they can save it or not.
At least four caps.
One definite implant; two if they can't save that fifth tooth.
13,000 worth over two-three years total, after insurance. 15,000 without.
All in all, not as bad as I thought it would be. Still. Ouch. :/

I need to go and have my mouth evaluated too, but AUGH. That's a car. A cheap car, but it's a CAR.

Sadly, the car is next. Gladly, I have a loving dad. And a great return this year, it looks like. :)

At this point, the worst thing about all of this is that the doc expects me to have someone babysiting me the day all the teeth get pulled because they're gping to IV me to death. And yeah, I can get my boss to drive me to and from...but, uh...getting babysat for the rest of the day isn't likely to happen.
Which means the continency plan is probably going to be to set up the house ahead of time so that anything I could possibly need is within crawling distance, and to have my boss make sure I get in the damned bed when she drops me off. If she can manage that, I'll be good. Being raised by nurses, especially when sick, has me programmed well to stay put under the sheets if you can get me there in the first place. I won't move again unless the world quits moving.

Still, I guess it's a small price to pay to be able to continue to use your mouth. Do they offer a payment plan?

The good news is the most expensive thing is 1,200, but most of the individual treatments are closer to the 200-400 range, which I can actually keep up with as long as we take our time, which is what he wants to do anyway so that my mouth can heal in between each thing.
Also--the dad will be helping with what the insurance won't cover (which is most of it), so I'll be in decent shape. And I'd much rather this than wait a few more years and end up with dentures after he has to pull everything, you know?
