Not so much a political commentary as just 'ARGH!!!'

Excuse me, ethinic purists, but, like, aren't we a melting pot of cultures?

Why in hell then, does this deserve an outcry?!

Fuck you, you little shits--you seem to forget who got steamed rollered when we got here.

Maybe The Star Spangled Banner needs to be written in Navajo next, just to give you a fucking reminder.

I second that ARGH!

We need to go find a nice, echoing cliffside to ARGH!!!! over.

...buh.

I'm less ARGHed than stunned by the ignorance of the general population.

Steamrolling aside, um...the original steamrollers? Spanish, Portugese, French, etc, a LOT of them before any English speaking peoples got here.

Also Vikings.

SRSLY people, don't you pay ANY ATTENTION?

Oh no, why should they?

I mean, sheesh...English is the primary language in the public school system, so why in the heck would it occur to them that there are actually OTHER LANGUAGES spoken just as often (if not more so, depending on where you happened to live) out in the Real World of America.

...I'm beginning to wonder if they even make at least a semester each of French and Spanish manditory anymore like they did in New Jersey and Arizona when I was going to school.

I wish I could remember the stats on this...by 2020, I think it is, more people in the US will speak Spanish than will speak English.

When I was in middle school/high school if you were at a certain academic level three years of a language was mandatory. I unfortunately took German. Which is useless except for that one time I went to Germany.
