Thank you!
May. 17th, 2007 07:47 amFor about a year now, the Bone (93.3 FM) has hosted The Walden and Johnson Show for the first morning block every weekday morning. It is also the only classic rock station I know of in the Dallas area now.
I'm sure those of you who are into Shock Jocks know who they are. They aren't Howard Stern obnoxious, but they're pretty damned close. If you've seen me complain about 'that show with the good 'ol boys', then you know what I'm talking about. They tend to talk about anything from essentailly 'what's with all the blacks, stop complaining!', to 'OMG! The Mexicans are taking over, and we'll all have to learn Spanish or be out of a job (and country)!!!'
Every once in a while, something intelligent comes out of their mouths, but it's kinda like a blue moon, or Hell freezing over, in regards to frequency.
If I want the radio on, I'm stuck listening to them until 10 (and do anyway, because of the occasional intelligent remark...or, more often, just so I get a better idea of how their tiny little white boy brains work), because trying to get the dial back to 93.3 once I've moved off it is a pain in the ass due to reception problems.
And since I gotta have my rock and roll fix, that's not an option. Besides...I have CDs! XD.
Anyhow, I turned the radio on this morning, prepared to hear the usual claptrap.
...There was music on.
O.o!
Twenty minutes later, while I finish this post, there is still music. My blessed rock and roll music. Which means I can, like, safely leave the station on now in the morning. Also means that I don't have to use my convoluted, cassette-adapter-hooked-to-my-cheap-mp3-player on the drive to work (I hate driving to commercials and talk shows and the occasional song, which is what's on during my morning commute).
I am happy. Yes. ^^
