*watches the first fifteen minutes of Twilight*

*notes the atrocious lighting effects*

*realizes she's missed most of it because LJ is more interesting*

Yeah, okay, time to put in something better...like...Advent Children! XD

(I APOLOGIZE TO ANY HIDDEN TWILIGHT FANS BUT I REALLY CAN'T WATCH IT MY BRAIN JUST SHUT OFF WHEN I TRIED....)

Loved the first The Crow

The second one, quite frankly, was pretty bad. And I;m not just saying that because they over-threw Jon Bon Jovi for an unknown for the lead role.

I'm actually liking The Crow: Salvation. Still can't hold a candle to the original, but definitely better than #2. I think maybe it's because it makes nods to the first film, both in cinematography moments, as well as careful choosing of certain 'tag words', but it also is it's own movie, and not a desperate attempt at a rehash of the first movie. It doesn't have the same grit, no, but it's got its own feel. And the actor doesn't try to be Brandon Lee, which gave me more time to actually appreciate the job he's doing.

a brief review of M Night Shyamalan's 'The Happening'.

Blah blah blah...not good at this, but here we go... )

Don't watch it.

Anything that makes Derek's movie looks like a shoe-in for an Academy Award is B.A.D.

I suppose the good part is that it looks like they actually filmed it in the outskirts of Vegas

Pulse.

The English version? Yeah. Kinda eh.

The Japanese version? Actually okay. At least there's a logical progression with the people involved trying to find out what happened.

Tokyo Godfathers.

Anime.

(Side note: The sound clips they used for the cats was well done enough that Foot started looking for the cats. She also apparently likes anime. Obviously my cat. :) )

That a lot of people don't like the ending of the movie version of The Mist, and I can understand why--there really just isn't a happy ending. Just a cessation of the horror.

For me though, that's what I like about it. It's brutal. But it's honest. And quite frankly, it lets the audience feel the full horror and pain that kind of horror would put the people through, rather than aim for a trite 'everything is okay after all in the end' or the cheap 'bwahahah!' of one last 'unexpected' kill and cheap scare at the end of the movie to indicate 'it really isn't over yet' (Final Destination sequels, I'm looking at you).

So yeah, it's horrible, and heart breaking, and just downright sucks for the main character.

But...it's true to the genre. I'm actually grateful for the chance to feel truly, truly awful about the fate of the people in the movie, and not just in that 'OMG! Did you see when his head exploded all over the place?! GROSS!!!' way.

Lapdances: *yawn* (Yes, Quint, we get it--you find sexy girls grinding on guys in some way shape or form a turn on. See: From Dusk Til Dawn and Selma Hayek. Great for the guys in the audience. Boring as hell for most girls.)

Too much talking about...shit I don't care about.

Not enough car. Or Kurt in a good acting part (and I like Kurt).

Sorry, Dave, I have to put this one in the 'fail' pile.

Moar Car Plez!!!!!!!

Uh huh...

The Marine?

It's on crack. Just so you know.

Bug?

Not as advertised.

But really, really good for what it actually is.

So I finally got hold of Advent Children.

Been a whole month.

Ah well, been having fun elsewhere. Suppose I should type something though...dust off the old LJ...

Mindless rambling in a reality to forget... )

Good, because I actually get a few days off every year other than the weekend.

Bad, because I get an extra day off on the weekends...

Just so I don't take up space... )

You know, being a girl with tendencies towards depression anyway can really suck sometimes. And that's all I will say about that...
