Been a whole month.
Ah well, been having fun elsewhere. Suppose I should type something though...dust off the old LJ...
*waves*
Most recent stand-out thing that's happened to me:
Saved a dragonfly that got caught in the hallway next to the dock yesterday. Poor thing didn't manage to find its way back out the door. I'd left it alone when I came in, because, quite frankly, bugs squick me out. Poor guy was still stuck there six hours later though, and had faded from sort of green to definitely grey.
So...go get cup, try and scoop, take outside.
*snort*
He was feeling just frisky enough that the best compromise we could get was him riding on the lip of the cup while I tried to gently get him to the dock door without dislodging him...
That worked until I was about three feet away and then he jumped ship.
O.O
Finally, though, I managed to recapture him from hs drunken 'I don't feel so great' flight and escorted him to the door.
On my hand.
Have I mentioned that I'm not that fond of bugs yet? Didn't help that he lowered head and tail to the palm of my hand while we had our little talk. I'm not sure if that was exhaustion, thanks, or him checking me out for a chomp.
Ah well...got him out...got him flying. Good critter deed done for the day.
....And Shaun of the Dead rocks.
Yeah, I know...way behind *g*
