I went. I saw. I killed nine of the werewolves and their little wolf buddies.

And then, in the middle of trying to draw a single mob to me, someone called my home phone.

The game froze. And then disconnected.

I died.

The end.

(But I was doing very well up to that point. Actually almost made it outside to that first little question mark!)

So, anyway, Sunday I was doing my usual soloing thing (Ari is level 28 and almost to 29! Whoo!), which includes ninja-shooting mobs that are giving other players in the area a hard time (Such as a level 23 getting surrounded by 27-28 level mobs. :/).

Got stuck in one area for two whole hours because I couldn't find one of the warders (But I got plenty of money and exp.), and, since there were at least three-five other soloists and groups in the same place, I think the one I was looking for just kept getting killed by other players when I wasn't in that area. :/

Anyhow, so another hunter with an 'elder' kitty wound up in the same area. I kept an eye on him, helped out a few times when he'd go into the houses (close quarter fighting with multple mobs is a pain in the ass), and so forth. Finally he typed not being able to find the same key I'd been looking for...and then found it a few seconds later. Told me where the guy spwans, and then stuck around while I waited for the respawn. I then stuck around for a bit and helped him kill a few more mobs (there were three different quests for the same place, one of which is kill x many of this type...).

We parted ways in game, but continued to whisper off and on at each other over the course of the evening.

And at the end of it, he actually gave me a glyph before signing off for the night.

Anyhow, we chatted off and on again tonight while we were on, and even dueled a few times (oh lord I need practice I SUCK at it. :/).

So yeah, Ari apparently has a boyfriend in game. *Snerk*

...dude gave me a glyph. Wow. Very nice of him.

I made a couple more gold (actually, several, but even in my Quest For The Kitty, I spent money on upgrades and available skills, so I set myself back by at least one or two).

So, I'm up to three, almost four gold.

The Cornish is still there. BUT, the buy out price went from 5 gold to 6. (*Cries*). Same person also put up several Siamese carriers. Where she got 'em all, I dunno, but O.o. Those are still all at 5 gold buyout instead. So...we'll see. Maybe it'll be a meezer I get Ari instead.

And OH SHIT, I almost ran smack into Luz while doing a run down the middle of the Scar (got a quest where I need to get into some buildings there)! And just as I saw him, we got jumped by two zombies, and of course, I was trying to run, but Elder was already engaged, and why the hell doesn't Call Pet work when you're trying to run and get your pet off a target so you can do so??? BECAUSE IT SHOULD!!!!!

*Gasp wheeze*

Anyhow, I got back to Elder, and we managed to finish the fight and get out before Luz noticed us, but it was an interesting few seconds, let me tell you. o.O

Anyhow, I'm half blind with exhaustion now, so to bed with me. I can raise more kitty gold after some sleep. :)

And feeling better enough to play WoW last night for a few hours.

1) For the first hour (8pm-9pm central) I kept getting dumped off the Cenarion Circle server. Which was...interesting. Fortunately, at the time, I was farming trolls in a place I'd cleared four levels ago for the second half of my 'Bards' armor (no Bards stuff this time, but plenty of Bear's, which was much lower than I wanted/needed). OF course, signing back in and being surrounded by the trolls (because the area would reset each time) was an adventure. Thank god for Elder, his HPs, and his Growl.

2) Thanks everyone for the swimming tips. Finally got that quest completed, although now I see I need to find a lake that isn't filled with pissed-off dead people and practice a little more. I didn't drown during the quest, but I came pretty darn close a few times. And it's pretty embarassing when your kitty (who probably hates the water like most self-respecting cats would. I exempt tigers from that observation, BTW), winds up killing half your attackers on his own because you can't even orient yourself well enough to find the buggers to hit them. :/ Elder Scroll swimming this is not.

3) OMG! Someone has a cornish rex on the auction house! For five goddamn gold!. And I have two gold. ANNNND someone else already bid 3. I'm cryin' here. But, in my sad little world, I'll probably wind up farming skins, converting them and selling them all weekend to make up the gold, and because animals with skins, both light and medium, are plentiful in the area I am in (Not to mention I dinged 'expert' skinner last night. :) ).

I want my orange kitty. >:( Yes, I'm sad. My cow has one, so my belf hunter must have one too.

4) I think I'm going to end up being one of those 'must do every quest' types. I hate having little exclaimation marks all over my map (Also: Gold and XP. Two things you can never have too much of. Even in a game with a level cap).

Anyhow, time to go to work.

ETA: Am I insane for thinking of taking on those two giant undead lugs wandering the southern roads of the Ghostlands by myself?

That was short lived.

Contacted the pally in game that had given me membership to the guild via in-game mail (he was not on at the time I was). His 'answer' was to deguild me, with no return mail/explaination. Which sucked (I'd even offered to send stuff I got during kills to him if I thought a fellow guildy would need it). It would have been nice to at least get a 'sorry about that, but...' from him.

Ah well. Such is life.

Also...how in hell do you manage to get under water? I ask because my current, easiest (now grey in the logs because at this point it won't offer me much XP) quest there requires diving for mudbanks, which...yeah, I can't seem to find the controls that would dunk me under so I could get to them. Do I need to dismiss Elder? Take off my clothes? Whistle Yankee Doodle?

ETA: Found out why I couldn't teach Elder anything--I was looking for the 'train' button in the wrong part of my skills. Elder is now up to stage 3 in growl and stamina, 2 in claw, and there's a couple other things ATM I can't remember.

Whoo!

Well, I researched, and found out that, sure enough, I was talking to the wrong trainer in Silvermoon. Once I'd figured that out, though, it didn't take very much time at all. I wound up getting an 'elder' springpaw instead, once I got both lessons out of the way...I just liked the looks a tiny bit better, and I liked that he was longer and slightly bigger than the springpaw stalkers. *g* So, he may not be bright red to match Ari's hair precisely, but I love 'em.

Anyhow, under the cut is the start page with Arianthe and her lynx Elder. :)
