Awake I was...

And feeling better enough to play WoW last night for a few hours.
1) For the first hour (8pm-9pm central) I kept getting dumped off the Cenarion Circle server. Which was...interesting. Fortunately, at the time, I was farming trolls in a place I'd cleared four levels ago for the second half of my 'Bards' armor (no Bards stuff this time, but plenty of Bear's, which was much lower than I wanted/needed). OF course, signing back in and being surrounded by the trolls (because the area would reset each time) was an adventure. Thank god for Elder, his HPs, and his Growl.
2) Thanks everyone for the swimming tips. Finally got that quest completed, although now I see I need to find a lake that isn't filled with pissed-off dead people and practice a little more. I didn't drown during the quest, but I came pretty darn close a few times. And it's pretty embarassing when your kitty (who probably hates the water like most self-respecting cats would. I exempt tigers from that observation, BTW), winds up killing half your attackers on his own because you can't even orient yourself well enough to find the buggers to hit them. :/ Elder Scroll swimming this is not.
3) OMG! Someone has a cornish rex on the auction house! For five goddamn gold!. And I have two gold. ANNNND someone else already bid 3. I'm cryin' here. But, in my sad little world, I'll probably wind up farming skins, converting them and selling them all weekend to make up the gold, and because animals with skins, both light and medium, are plentiful in the area I am in (Not to mention I dinged 'expert' skinner last night. :) ).
I want my orange kitty. >:( Yes, I'm sad. My cow has one, so my belf hunter must have one too.
4) I think I'm going to end up being one of those 'must do every quest' types. I hate having little exclaimation marks all over my map (Also: Gold and XP. Two things you can never have too much of. Even in a game with a level cap).
Anyhow, time to go to work.
ETA: Am I insane for thinking of taking on those two giant undead lugs wandering the southern roads of the Ghostlands by myself?

Date: 2008-10-03 04:47 pm (UTC)Kitties kitties kitties. :3 I'm going to be leveling an Alliance toon I have on Zangamarsh, only a little, for the express purpose of using him to smuggle animals over to the Hordeside. I'll see about snapping up more kitties for you.

Date: 2008-10-03 05:04 pm (UTC)Kitties! And that would be great, because I still have a troll lady warrior on Z that I haven't started yet, but will likely want a kitty as well once I unleash her. :) (Yes, I am all about the kitties. lord help you all. *g*).
Sadly, Arianthe is on the Cenarion Circle server, so your mad smuggling skills will do her no good.
I do have a pally on CC though (the one who can't find Princess the Pig), so if I cna figure that one out, I'll be able to get Ari a kitty anyway if the one in the auction house is gone by the time I raise the gold (at which point--hey, at least I'll have some gold saved up, so it's still a good thing).
