*Worried*

Foot didn't come wake me up this morning as usual. She showed up ten minutes later, kinda meowed, and then lay down until I got up.

She didn't eat anything overnight. When she walked, her hind legs were stiff and she was crouching like cats do when they're scared. She's alert, and there's no barf and no blood in the catbox, but still.

I've called the vets to let them know I'm going to bring her in today when I can get out of work. Now I have to wait for someone with authority (and sympathy to animals) to show up and let me off. I'm hoping my immediate supervisor is here today (she went home early yesterday because her own son was sick), because I know she'll be cool with it.

God, I hope I'm over reacting. I hope if she *is* bad off, the delay won't hurt her too much.

So, the vet called back.

Gist was; she just got vaccination booster shots--it probably made her stiff (since, you know, she got shot in the butt). Give her a day or two and then call back if nothing changes.

...So, um yeah. I am an over-protective 'mommy'. XD

Looks like it all worked out with Richie. How do I know? One of my local stations has a contest for a five-person meet-n-greet (which apparently the band doesn't really do anymore these days) on concert night. Has to be someway of showing you've 'gone green'

Too bad I already got my tickets--between the light blubs, using air and light and water only when needed, 'green' cleaning supplies and the like, I might have won it.

Ah well.
silverthorne: (You Can't See Me)
So yeah, once I got home, I could see the doc was right; Foot didn't want to move much and was favoring the leg/hip she got the booster shots in. But, she also took water, let me pet her (and purred for me), and eventually went and ate a decent amount of her dinner.

She's also starting to nap on the sore leg, so I think the soreness is starting to fade. :)

Anyhow, still sore, but she seems to be getting better. :)

On a side note: I never got to see the original Broadway production, but I'm liking the film version of Dream Girls.

Damn, the voices. *swoons*
