And yeah. Comparetively speaking, the older Nelf area is harder on the toon in the second town than the Belf one is. If this were representative of the comparitive ease of life, the Belf's have it pretty good in comparison, mana addiction not-with-standing. Either that, or it seems harder because I spent a little less time leveling with the Nelf and didn't do the hunter quest until level 11 on my belf (granted, it was because I couldn't find the quest giver, but still).

What's annoying me in the Nelf area is that the other quests are freaking killer as well--you almost need to have at least one other person with you for the caves and the bear villages (although I got through the first one okay by being sneaky and then teleporting back to the inn once I'd found the trinket). I died about six times before giving up on the cave until I was higher level and/or had my kitty, and the other bear people village where you had to kill several mystics and get the gemstone back from the cheiftain I took advantage of the fact that another player showed up obviously for the same thing.

So I covered his back while he cleared most of the village, grabbed the shiny from the dead cheif the first time I killed him (and then died myself because I'd pulled a warrior on me as well), and then studk around after I rezzed and covered the other player's back from a distance until he did the same thing when cheify respawned.

As a belf, that didn't happen anywhere near as often because it wasn't needed.
