I think actually that that's usually what happens, yeah. Once people quit squalling about it and quit trying to repress it, it ceases to be such a big deal...and wonder of wonders, but no one ends up dead or crazy over it either.

I follow it off and on. For TMI's sake, I'm bi and am in a same-gender relationship at the moment, so it has some relevance in my life. Even if neither applied to me, though, the sheer craziness of the opposing factions is one big head shake. This stuff has been going on 'underground' for as long as humans were human, and nothing has fallen apart because of it yet.
Just another 'live and let live' situation people need to relax about.
Hopefully, the hopeful part will spread. Sadly, most places seem to be going in the opposite direction at the moment. :/
