Dear Clear Channel and Texas radio
Apr. 24th, 2007 10:46 amWhat did rock n' roll ever do to you?
That's right. As of 6 am this morning, 92.5 is now a Country station. They did the same thing they did to the Eagle; one minute, it's classic rock, the next--Hello, Kenny!
This leaves the Edge (which is Alternative, not classic or metal or just regular old rock), The Mix (which has some rock, but is more of a broad range and doesnt play the really hard stuff), and the Bone (Which has the Walden and Johnson talk show on for five hours every morning...bleh. Thanks, guys, but I want my music, not two confirmed Good 'Ol Boys being sometimes smart, but mostly old school and dumb talking shit.(And no, gentlemen, having a token gay and a token black guy on 'the team' for contrast DOESN'T make it any better, especially when they both get shouted down when they try and correct you two for some pretty outrageous bullshit comments coming out of your white boy mouths).
And the Edge and the Mix belong to Clear Channel as well.
Anyone want to make any bets on their life expectancy? I know I don't.
FEH I say!

Seriously, I do. And it happens too often. There's one station around here in the Twin Cities that has changed formats several times since I moved here. I wouldn't be surprised if Clear Channel owned it.
First it was a classic rock station. Then alternative rock. Then indie/alternative. Then smooth jazz. Now it's country... I think.
Stop killing our good radio stations, corporate blockheads!
