I've cracked. Not only did I get a CD to replace my twenty-year-old cassette copy of Chicago, Greatest Hits (1982-1989), but I'm listening to it. Right now. And Enjoying It.
And remembering that dumb-ass idea I had for a video for Stay the Night back in highschool. No, it didn't involve chasing after a girl in a fast car.
Oh god, I've turned into An Old Person! Heeeeeeeeelppppp Meeeeeeeee!!!!!! XD

The Chicago of the 80s is a whole other animal from the Chicago of the 70s.

Date: 2007-06-28 05:50 pm (UTC)Part of my problem is that my mom kept me up on Motown and jazz artists, and choir supplied me with country and Broadway (ah, the joys of a New Jersey education system *g*), but I was denied a rock-and-roll diet until I got shipped out with my Dad to Tucson in '82. Even then, I was mostly exposed to pop-rock until my sophomore year in highschool in '84, so I was just in time for the hairbands, rap, and metal, but had missed most of the 'classic' groups and had to discover them later.
