If one is going to insist on eating snowcrab that's still in the shell, rather than the pre-shelled sort-of-crab-but-also-other-fish-chunks, then one must make note to get ones-self a nutcracker set before one has another go-around with said crustacaens.

Because one's fork (not to mention ones fingers) now hates ones-self .

(In other words: 'Yo, dumb-ass, get a nutcracker set for your crabs!')

Well, I would, except that all that happens when I do that is crushed crab and a lot of shell in the nice meaty part I'm trying to eat. Not so good.

I've got it down to a science.

1)Bite high up on the middle of leg so you don't crunch into the meat.
2)Rip it open the rest of the way.
3)Remove meat.
4)???
5)PROFIT
