Need Help...?
Aug. 18th, 2004 06:29 amOkay...I went nuts, joined a bunch of sites like Deleterius and related groups, have been reading posts...
All this has finally pushed me into wanting to write a fic.
However, I wonder if some of you could either help me out or point me in a good direction...
1) Anyone familiar with either of John Carpenter's 'Vampires' movie?
2) Anyone interested enough to beta a fanfic that happens *after* the second movie? Or at least knows someone who could beta it?
3) Anyone have a suggestion as to where I could post the little bugger so that other people can read it, critique it, and/or tear it into tiny little shreds (which would be painful, but if they're constructive shreds it will help me write better).
It would be my first serious attempt at a fanfic--as well as a supposedly canon fanfic. I say 'supposedly' because although I can certainly craft an OC to fit into a canon world without upending it, I am very doubtful about my abilities to actaully write for an existing canon character--which means my beta probably needs to be someone who can tell me I've fallen off the canon wagon when necessary (and will also tell me when I've gotten it right). If I'm ever going to do something other then goof around on online RPG, I need to start somewhere...
