silverthorne: (Road of Green Rain)
Mind you, it's a 'good' crap, but still.

I have to buy new work pants again--the x-larges are now big enough to swim in. Someone at some charity is going to love getting some more new scrubs. :/

So, in light of this new predicament. Of all two or three of you who think you should get me xmas presents this year? If you just gotta do it?

Gift cards, please. For clothes. Because this weightloss thing is going to break my bank, here. Even at Wally World. And you don't have to get them at expensive places (actually, that would be bad, because I wouldn't stay at that size long enough to really enjoy what I'd bought before I'd have to give it away)

And no, this is not a demand for presents, just...if someone really wants to get me something, the ability to buy new clothes every time I shrink would be really nifty. I can get toy-like things next year after I'm done whittling myself down to nothing.

Also: Presents? People want some? Make requests here so I can make an attempt at it? Either here, or email me. Go for it.

Upsides:

Nice and Juicy.
Sweet tasting.
Smell good.
Don't look mutated like the huge, but odd looking and not-so-good tasting V. oranges in the 'regular' bin (two of which I threw out because too hard to get into and the flesh was...well, it tore into uneatable shreds.)
No pesticides, hormones, etc...

Downsides

Nice and Juicy.
Membranes are not firm, so these also shread (but at least they're still eatable after).
Nice and Juicy.
Smaller (1/2 size of the mutants).
More expensive (but worth it).

Verdict: Organic FTW

ETA:

I really need to ask Grandma if she still has the orange and grapefruit trees in the back this year, and Uncle Larry the fig and date trees at his house...

Me: *Working. Lifting boxes. Putting things on shelves, etc. Just minding my own business.*

Stomach: *GRRRRROOOOOOOOOWWWWWWWLLLL!* Feed me, bitch!

Me: Buhwah? But...you just had food two hours ago!

Stomach: And your point? GIVE ME FOOD NOW!!!!!

Me: Now hold up a minute. *puts box down* You had bean soup, an orange, an apple and a damned plum for lunch. That's plenty until snack time this afternoon.

Stomach: Lady, I don't care. I feel like having food. Now. No, wait. Ten minutes ago. Make me a sammich before I eat your spine!

Me: Nope, sorry. Don't have food, and no cash for a snack. You're just gonna havta deal.

Stomach: *Long silence*. Fine. Guess it'll be a long afternoon then, huh? *commences growling and rumbling like nobody's business. And making dark threats towards my spine*.

*

It's like being stuck on a long car ride with a hyperactive child poking you in the back going 'Are we there yet?' every three minutes.

I'm 38; I'd say I'm due for one, right?

Anyhow, I've signed up for classes at the Tae Kwan Do dojo across the street. As in, six months and there's a gi sitting on my couch with a dojo thing on the back that I have to learn how to take care of properly, classes.

I'll be out of pocket 6:45 to approx 8:30 on Mondays and Wednesdays at least until May. If I do well enough, that will likely become a permanent fixture until I get out of Texas.

Dude. My classes. One other adult and the rest kids! LOL.

But--I'm also allowed to stretch and practice whenever I like. And watch. As in, take a little hop across the street and check things out whenever it's open. The teacher said so and suggested it. So...yeah.

Also: Kon used to do Tae Kwon Do. Let's hope I do him/his memory justice.
