That was relatively painless...O.o
Mar. 7th, 2008 02:21 pmEyes: Still healing. Definite improvement in sight, Took me off the Zymar, but still on the steroid for another 3 weeks, with gradually decreasing dosages and times to dose. So around the 31rst, I can go back to my regular eye doc and get refitted for contacts. That'll be about right anyway. :) And hey, I might actually be wearing contacts by the time the Bon Jovi concert is here. *glee!*
There's some scarring from the virus infection, but once the eye is done healing, it won't affect my sight.
ON the teeth: well, I'm not drugged to the gills. :) I was a little shaky and wobbly when I first got up, but if I move slow and think about what I'm doing and how to get to where I'm going, I'm not having any problems getting around. Not very tired either, but I'm still going to take the doc seriously and stay in the house and just putter around. Not even going to vaccum the floor, even though it needs it. :)
They started me on laughing gas, too. It was weird feeling my body giving up the ghost, as it were. My body awareness just kinda got far away, even though my brain was still going a mile a minute and was very alert. Then they stuck the IV feed in and I lost control of how loud I could talk. I got as far as telling him I was from Jersey, then AZ, then here in Dallas. Somewhere when he was telling me where he was from, I lost track. Last clear thing I remember was being told not to talk.
And then they asked me something, I was awake, thinking that was a nice three minute rest and was being told it was over. O.o
Heh.
Mostly, I'm planning on vid games, movies, maybe some time with the sketch book.
I have two pills, a mouthwash, and suppositories if some of the meds make me ill to my stomach (hmn, yum, fun. :P). The worst part right now is having gauze stuffed in the back of my mouth that makes me drool, and my entire mouth being numb, including my cheeks and tongue. That part is fading now though, so I'm sure the 'need the painkiller pill' will come into play within a few hours. And my 'peeps' are taking good care of me, checking in and making sure I'm not doing something dumb-ass. Like going shopping. *g*
Oh, and the bottom half of my cheeks are puffing out like a hamster's do after a few carrots get stuffed in each side. Heh.
They saved my teeth too and put them in a little baggy thing. Not sure why, and not sure what to do with it, but if you all really want to see the pitiful remains, I'll scan the bag for you all and post the pic. :P
Another one of those decision moments...
Mar. 7th, 2008 07:51 pmSo...should I?
(I case you;re wondering, I'm more likely to want to get up and move around after dark. Clue can attest to that; she's seen my 'walking schedules' in action. XD).
