silverthorne: (The Good Life)

Foot has discovered that banging the food bowl around and getting up on the counter and knocking the sealed bowl with the other half of the moist cat food in it into the metal sink will wake me up and get her food (admittedly, she's been getting fed at 5:30am on the weekdays and it was 6:30 when she decided to try and serve herself, so at least she let me sleep in for an hour.).

She's also smart enough to get off the counter before I have visual confirmation that yes, she is indeed on the 'no' counter.

To quote a movie: 'Such a clever girl'.

I'll be getting child-safety locks for where the dry food is kept next (or else switch back to Science Diet, since they use plastic jugs instead of paper bags.). XD.

Today, there is interest in windows--just for bird watching and sunning though. And she's already caught onto my hand signals for calling her over or inviting her up to where I am. :)

Such a good, smart, clever girl.

And now, for some coffee, while she gets some morning sun. :)

Today was 'I R Independent Cat' day.

Foot got her cuddles in early and then mostly showed up for food, ten minutes of window gazing, three minutes here and there of head rubs, and then more under the bed sleeping. Her food gulping has definitely slowed way down.

I checked out about chipping cats, and went and looked to see if she had one, but she doesn't seem to. I'll have the vet check/scan her tomorrow just to make sure. Having no indication that someone thinks they've lost her yet, I'm not banking on a 'happy reunion' with her original humans, though.

Thus far, we know )
