Back on the wagon
Jan. 9th, 2009 08:08 amSo, my excuse is that last year, everyone in my aprtment complex discovered the adults pool where I usually worked out in the summer, and they'd bring kids. And of course, it's hard to do laps in a pool full of excited, rambunctious kids without risking getting someone hurt. So I quit swimming. And then it got cold, so I quit walking. And then I got a little depressed...and...yeah.
I'm sure several folks can relate.
Anyway, one new years 'intention' was to get back on the wagon. I decided to do this by joining the most recent 'contest' at work, which goes until mid April. They're measuring weight, BMI (eh), and fat percentage altogether.
I had, at one point, gotten down to 184 and stay there.
The measurements this morning were not good. 200 pounds, 33.3 BMI, and 39.4 body fat.
I have a lot of work to do. And I need to stick with it this time, after the contest is over.
Wish me luck. Even if I don't win the contest, I'm hoping this time, the good habits will stick.
