That was my reaction about Doakes and the a/c unit.

I didn't honestly think Lila would be that incredibly stupid.

But I love that she saw his "I am not just playing with you" face.

I'm not surprised by Lila. Met her type before in real life, and most of them honestly think they can get away with whatever they're doing because they're convinced they're five steps ahead of everyone else. They also tend to lack much fear and/or common sense when it comes to self preservation--that's part and parcel of the whole 'danger junky' mindset, which she has in spades. Along with several other loose screws.

Well, yes, but how is he going to prove that it's Dexter even with his proof since he's suspended and he just walked out on Lundy like the loose cannon he is? He's going to make himself look guilty. Unless he packs it up nicely and ships it as an anonymous tip. I was so annoyed that Dexter was so sloppy with that car!


No, Lila's worse than that, because she thought nothing of sending the man who killed Dexter's mother to go to Dexter. There is no five steps ahead there. That's just batshit. That's batshit and apeshit having mutant apebatshit babies.

There are ways--including friends in high places. Which I'm sure Doakes has, and it wouldn't surprise me if some of them are military. He's obviously no where near as constrained as a suspension should make him. We'll just have to see what comes up.

Like I said, people like Lila think they're five steps ahead--doesn't necessarily mean that they are, but that's what they think. And that's part of what makes them batshit.

Until they make the mistake of triggering whatever will get them in the end. Like Lila seeing Dex's monster.
