Seems I've graduated a bit. I only need 1,650 cals now if I want to lose weight, which makes me happy. Odd as that sounds, I'm glad, because that means I'm finally back in a more or less 'normal' eating range for a person of my age, activity level, and weight. When I first started, the recommended intake to maintain was over the suggested healthy intake of 2,000 calories for the average adult (the suggestion was something like 2,500 to maintain and 1,900 to lose) O.o), and, believe it or not, with truly healthy choices on my menu, it was really hard to even hit the minimum safe intake for healthy weightloss.
Now I'm where it's not only easy to keep the calorie balance where it should be for weight loss, it's also close to what I'm instinctively intaking on my own anyway, before I do my calorie counts for the day.
I'm happy. I'm in normal range now. This is definitely do-able. :)
