Heh. WAAAAAAAY back in the mists of time (circa late 70's), somewhere in the (not quite) depths of New Jersey, one of my few friends there taught me the 'put it on your inner rim' trick.
It hurt like hell (wood splinters and allergic reaction), and I never really took to the technique because of that. I don't usually line the bottom lids at all, anyway. Makes me look even more like a raccoon than my own thin skin does. :)
*makes a note of that* I might gvae that a try then...or talk to the Clinique folks since they're more likely to have a hypoallergenic solution than the standard dept/drug store. We'll see. I just need something that'll shape my lashes a little better, really. Which really requires more the use of a curler (ouch, ew) than mascara.
