Well, went to the dentist. Got two teeth filled. They work nice. The upper lip sliding down my face from the novacaine is a little freaky, but I can still kinda smile, and I can keep my lips closed well enough to eat and drink without dribbling everywhere.

Not to mention, it's starting to wear off anyway. :)

They even let me listen to Bon Jovi. That made everything tons better. :)

Also, good news--they saved the one tooth! So, all they're gonna pull are my three wisdom teeth and the one molar that's pretty much shot and will be replaced with an implant. Not too shabby. Also, the insurance paid for over half of today's procedure anyway, so it wasn't as expensive as I was expecting. :)

Yay!

And yes, my eyes are still behaving. Still slightly blurry on the right, but I can still see fine. :)

Man, I wish my dentist would put on Bon Jovi for me. They only has a TV set, and since I typically go in early, it's set on either "Good Morning America" or "Dora The Explorer".

And, go go insurance! "Not as expensive" is always a good thing.

This guy is a tecnhophile, no joke. HUGE widescreen mounted in the waiting room, each treatment area has two more smaller widescreens--one mounted so you can see it when you're upright, one mounted over the chair so you can see it when you're laid out. Full stereo system with seperate channels in eahc room. He even has DVD players so that you can bring in your own movie if you want. And all the windows are 'picture' windows and look out on landscaping and koi pools. If I didn't know any better, would have thought I was in the Ritz. *g*.

I'll admit I brought the Bon Jovi with me though on my MP3 player and used my own head phones (the ones for his system were tucked under the chair.).

The people are cool and he's really good about telling you what's going on without being...typical doctor-like about it, if that makes sense.

And yes, insurance. Good thing, that stuff. :)

(And I finally get to use it, too, instead of just socking money into it every year.)
