silverthorne: (You Can't See Me)

So I head out to get some kitty litter, a few personal supplies and toothpaste for Foot (Although Ula's gonna get her teeth brushed too). Get home, get everything put away, get laundry sorted and started, and go looking for Foot.

I can't find her.

She's not under the bed, under the nightstand, or anywhere else that's a usual 'haha, you can't find me (at least not until you look in a new place!)' spots, of which there are very few left (or so I think).

By now, I am calling her name with that frantic tone Moms in a park everywhere get when Jr. disappears over the sunny hillside and out of sight. Ula is also following me around, calling out as well, because, well, obviously Mom is panicking, but she has no idea why.

Then I see the bedskirt move by the foot of the bed. Sure enough, it's Foot. Who has found out that the back part of the chest at the end of the bed is a biiiit higher than the front. Leave it to my first girl to figure these things out.

Needless to say, the teeth brushing is postponed until I've chilled a bit.

Haha! When Sebastian first got home, that happened only twice I think. There's a hole in the side of my sink (it's set in a counter, the hole leads to the very bottom). And one day I wasn't paying attention and when I started looking for him (after I noticed he hadn't been bothering Kitty like he usually does), I totally freaked out and I began telling myself "What kind of mom are you? You lost your BABY!". Thank god for his love of his toys, I picked up and started shaking his rattly mouse, and out he came, squeezing from that hole at the bottom of the sink counter in a sleepy little daze! Needless to say, there's now a towel shoved in the hole to keep him out. >>;

But I've been thinking of brushing Kitty's teeth. How does it work out for you? I saw a kit at a local pet store where Kitty got his vaccinations.. why I didn't pick it up then I'm not sure. XD

Very poorly at the moment. Foot doesn;t like being held down for anything, and Ula has decided she doesn't like the taste of the toothpaste.

So right now, we're in kitty negotiations--which entails many, many failed attempts. :/

Bleh, that probably bodes unpleasant for me.. Kitty will throw huge hissy fits just getting his nails trimmed (2 minute clipping, he turns it into at least 10 minutes D:)

Then again... maybe it'll be fun; I always jump on the chances to humanely "torture" him, just so I can call him a big crybaby! Maybe Sebastian will make a good example (the boy will eat anything, and has a licking obsession). :P
