and not as depressed as I have been for a while now.

Mind you, that's not keeping me from wasting my time by surfing the 'net intead of paying bills, dusting the apartment, making a grocery list, inking a picture, or even playing WoW, but at least when I think about doing these other things, I'm going, 'in a minute' rather than 'blah yuck, what, sure, nevermind...'

(I know, that didn't make a lot of sense.

Anyhow:

My entire family, except for Grandma, sent me 'oh so you're 40 now?' type cards, and they were all pretty darn funny (Grandma's was sweet and warm-fuzzyish). Got to talk to most of them Thursday.

WoW miraculously fixed itself overnight, so I was able to get on last night, much to my surprise. So now I am merged and playing and happy, and don't have to worry about being one of the people that'll put off merging battlenet until it's mandatory (which will be a mess for all involved, I'm sure). all three of the WoW folks that I dealt with were very nice and prompt and stuff too, so when I got my little survey request, I talked them all up and told Blizz how pleased I was (even though no one actually had to do anything to my account in the end).

And, although it was out of necessity, my boss (who's getting days off here and there because right now anyone taking an actual vacation is sort of out of the question), finally taught me how to create and place purchase orders for the supply room. And by the third day (she had me do the ones I'd be responsible for this coming Monday when they needed to be done last week), I had it down. So...new skill. The trust of my immediate boss (she wouldn't have taught me if she didn't think I could do it, and someone in purchasing would have had to do it instead), and yeah. I actually feel pretty good about it. Mind you, in September, we're switching to an all new system to get us in line with the rest of Baylor, but I suspect that she'll teach me that one too if I ask, now that she knows I'm willing and able to learn. :) (the worst part really has been getting enough time to sit down together and teach me).

My eyes are finally back to normal, but I'm holding off on the contacts for another few weeks, both to let any 'invisible' problems still left over to fix themselves, and also to make sure I'm not going to have a relapse.

Overall, going into age 40 was looking pretty miserable, but the week has been getting better as it's gone on.
