Okies.
Deep thinking here, combined with self-analysis (huh...notice how analysis starts with 'anal'? XD )
Okies.
I no need the sporky boards.
So, sporky boards go away now.
Yep--taking my own advice--if I think it's dumb, then what am I doing there?
Anyhow. That's it. Carry on. *g*

Date: 2006-03-27 04:43 pm (UTC)In my case, I think it's just I don't really need to be there, you know? It's like offering a drunk a bottle of wine. *g*
This is just a case of personal preference, really. I'd like to stay out of it from now on. Best way to do that is...well..not be there. ^^

Date: 2006-03-27 04:52 pm (UTC)I have faith in my self-control. I was good, I was. I believe I can remain so. Every time I'm tempted to wank, I go smoke a cigarette and play Meteos for a bit. ;)

Date: 2006-03-27 05:19 pm (UTC)I think my equvilent would be chocolate and Resident Evil--at least until my stunning reflexes failed me and I got et by the ebil zombies. *g*

Date: 2006-03-27 05:25 pm (UTC)You see, my reflexes are so stunning that I tend to start running backward and sideways (the wrong way of course) when I want to run forward and in the other direction.
I am so skilled. *g*

Date: 2006-03-27 05:36 pm (UTC)I had a similar problem when I was trying to figure out Outbreak the other day. I was trying to get Alyssa up the stairs, away from the zombies, and NO MATTER WHICH WAY I TILTED THE ANALOG STICK, she just kept moving right down the stairs.
I don't think I'm a fan of this game, sir.

Date: 2006-03-27 05:45 pm (UTC)I like the RE games...it's just that I tend to have an extremely short life-span unless I save after every event. XD.
Although, once I get my hands all figured out, I tend to be really good at popping they little heads off...

Date: 2006-03-27 05:50 pm (UTC)Actually, I've played the demo, and it's gorgeous. It's a wee bit like Kingdom Hearts, but it's also got a bit of the old Active Time meter stuff going on, too. It's hard to describe. You CAN set the options so time "stops" while you make the choice of what attack to use, so that's handy.
I'm just still peeved that it's been delayed time and time and time AGAIN. This latest delay is so that they won't compete with Kingdom Hearts 2. And while I appreciate that they're finally releasing THAT one, I'd rather get both in a decent amount of time.
DAMN IT SQUARE ENIX GET YOUR THUMBS OUT OF YOUR BUTTS!

Date: 2006-03-27 06:01 pm (UTC)Man, but yeah, they're really dragging it out. So is it/are they for PS2, or am I going to have to figure out how to buy the new system?
Kingdom Hearts wasn't too bad for me, although I'd fubar some of the more complicated reflex-related moves several times before my fingers would catch on. The good news is that I have good memory reflex, so once I have it down, I'm good to go.
...It's just getting there that's the problem.

Date: 2006-03-27 06:05 pm (UTC)My theory was that, yes, they were indeed holding those titles for the next gen consoles, but now that the PS3 launch has ALSO been pushed back, I don't know what to think.
I think Nintendo is going to get my next gen console money, I really do. Because I REFUSE to buy Microsoft. REFUSE.

Date: 2006-03-27 07:17 pm (UTC)Heh.
*nods* I'm not sure who would get mine, although we have a PS2 as well as an Xbox (Mostly used to plat Morrowwind--which is actually a very NICE game)...hard to make a decision there when your interests are scattered over three consoles. :/
...we still have our Nintendo, and Super Nintendo, as well as the original Final Fantasy cartridges.

Date: 2006-03-27 06:22 pm (UTC)'Sporking' is essentually tearing into someone else's idea or character or way of playing on a rant board. it came about probably from people joking about getting 'sporks' (those spoon-fork combos some fast food chains provide) and going after a particularly offensive player and repeatedly stabbing them with said sporks.
BRPS is not nearly so harsh and cruel as Deleterius, but we've all seen some of the doozies there--hence, 'sporky boards'. Because a lot of the posts really do just tear into folks.

Date: 2006-03-27 05:29 pm (UTC)It kinda does eat your soul, yeah. I mean, I learned some stuff there that was useful--ideas about what counts as godmoding, and some technical things--but I've just gone and un-joined. Doesn't keep me from looking, mind, but it sure makes it harder to comment. :D

Date: 2006-03-27 05:49 pm (UTC)Yeah, there are some useful convos, and I've tried actually giving some advice on some of the ones that weren't 100% seething commentaries, but over-all, being a member is just too darn tempting for my little 'ol dark side to resist.
