Brittney Spears as the next 'mother figure'.
I mean...I really am not sure.
It's a lovely piece of art.
It's also already getting 'claimed' or derided by both sides of the abortion issue.
...He used Brittney Spears as a model.
I feel the same way about her that some people feel about That Woman.

Date: 2006-03-29 01:42 pm (UTC)Artisically, it reminds me of old fertility statues, where they were inaccurate as all hell, but you definitely knew what it was about. By the same token, other than the what looks like a flabby belly, I'd have to say it looks more like she's getting ready for her man, if you get my meaning, rather than give birth.
I think on the not-sure-if-I'm-outraged side, I think it's the concept of Brittney as a 'good mom role model' that kinda bugs me. Just...doesn't jive with what I've seen of the woman, you know what I mean?
