Anyhow, notes on (sort of) playing RE4:



The midget is creepy.

Leon drives like a Mac Truck with no brakes and a broken gear shaft. I want my Morrowwind controls back, thank you.

Parasite Zombies! :D! XD! and massive amounts of D:!!!!!

I'm very good at switching to knife and going all Norman Bates on the zombies.

I'm incredibly bad at running away from said zombies once they dogpile me.

I'm getting used to the hair flapping in the breeze. IE: I've quit shooting at every thing that moves when his bangs get caught in the breeze.

NIIIIIIIIIIIIICCCCCCCCCCCCCCEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE cut scenes! (I live for cut scenes).

Mendez(?) is definitely creepier than Ramon.

CRAP! I LIKED Carlos, you slackers!!!! Stereotypical attempt at every spanish main man in Hollywood though he might have been! *FROWNY FACE*

Rocket Launchers are your Best Friend. Even more so when they're infinite.

My death rate is astronomical. My kill rate is dismal. But I can still use the knife! And KICK! I CAN LITERALLY KICK ASS!..and then die horribly. Again.

Leon has kick-ass moves (as long as it's not me trying to make him do them. XD)

The Merchant is vaguely obscene, and if you don't know what I mean, keep playing until you get it.

We're not talking about Mendez's extra 'limbs'. That's a conversation for a special place.

Hanyway, yes, Mendez is a scary mofo, the merchant is totally a perv, once you know where all the zombies are you can breeze through the game and not get hurt too badly.

And Leon TOTALLY flirts with Hunnigan. TOTALLY.

Make sure to wait after the credits when you beat the game for a scene that totally drives this point home with a sledgehammer. (In fact, I think that's the only reason that scene is there. Otherwise, I'm just all, "....Uhhhh, and the point of this was...?")

OOOH. Well. Yeah, we (meaning Canali and I) sorta choked the first time around with that one since, yeah, getting the Meryl ending or the Otocon ending hinges on Ocelot's torture and whether or not your survive it. And...we sorta made Snake look like a total schoolgirl because we pressed the surrender button before the torture even started. Whoopsie daisy! Oh well. I like Otocon better than Meryl anyways...

Really? I didn't notice that. I fangirled Mendez to death, though. Partially because he PWNED my game friend with utter savagery, but I completely killed him on my first go.

Anyway. First time with the playstation, first boss fight, and I did total annihilation. I was proud of myself. He got his own back in pro mode, but that's another story.

Did you know after you freeze the Hand, you can kick it? :D I admit, that tested my game guts. You're supposed to also be able to kill it with the knife. PASS.

-But it's a GOOD sort of creepy! :D And the giggling! Iscute. :3 AND HAT. The hat is very important.

-Knifing sumbitches is the best. And Leon's 1337 government moves include being about to SUPLEX these assholes is just the way I want my tax dollars being spent. Teaching hot government agents how to suplex zombies.

-Mendez, while scary, is fscking awesome. And I am always amused by how, with Saddler's two right hand men, one is RILLY RILLY TALL and the other is shortshortshort. I am curious if this was intention on someone's part, be it Saddler's or the game developers. Also, I have a t-shirt with Mendez on it, thus making me cooler than YOUR MOM.

-The cut scenes are even better when you realize that those are all in-game graphics. And that is when you realize you are playing a miracle game.

-I use the chicken eggs to egg paintings of Saddler! :D

-If you like the Rocket Launcher, you will cream yourself over the Chicago Typewriter. Having a game with just that, the inf. launcher and an assult rifle is surely the way God intended us to kill zombies.

-The Merchant is totally my homie, but he is also, like the song by The Faithless sez, a Dirty Old Man. But he sells me things that blow up and that's all that matters.

I haven't gotten that far and I always seem to be dozing when he gets to Krauser's parts.

The one CG duel between him and Leon is way cool though. ^^.

Now, if only roomie would quit killing Ashley everytime he tries to fire-bomb the baddies. XD
