What did I do this Thanksgiving?

Well, sort of.
Okay, guys, here's my Big Political Post of the century. And most of you all probably know all this and will yawn and go 'Shit, Anne, I've known some/most/all of that for years'. (So have I, but that's not the point here). Not going to say much except this:

I was sent there in a round about way last night by someone who I'm not going to mention unless they would like to be mentioned here. Suffice to say that although it was a difficult conversation, they were still willing to spend enough time to at least send me to one of the spots that supported what they said.
This is my way of...thanking them and trying to help in some sort of tangible way since I'm neither insanely rich or well-known.
Read. And keep reading. And read some more.
And then? Pass on the link, post it where people can see it. We have a year and some change to get people to see all of this and try to do things about it. A year and some change to decide if this guy is off his rocker or dead on, and if he's dead on from what you read? Pass It ON. And ask other people to pass it on. Take it to email if you want. Treat it like a meme if it helps. Hell, paste and copy this whole thing if you want.
This will be post dated for quite a bit in the future so that it will stay at the top of my page.
Here are my requests though.
1) Try and read with an open mind, whether you agree or disagree.
2) No matter where you fall on any of the issues, be polite about it, okay? I may be stepping on toes here, but if you disagree, at least be nice about it. And yes, providing links to an opposing view here on this post is great. The only way to be truly informed about anything is to see both sides. And yes, supporting links are also good.
3) You can try and engage me in discussion about this, but be warned--my skills at this are pretty limited to be honest. And other than spreading awareness, I'm not really interested in debate. Knowledge, more knowledge and the like, yes. Debate until one side or the other gives in? Not really. Doesn't mean I won't talk it out to the best of my ability, but don't expect an Einsteinian response, never mind something on the level of Socrates or other visionaries.
4) Keep in mind you don't even have to read this, do as I ask, or agree. I'm doing this because I feel people should at least be given the opportunity to see. Doesn't mean I'm demanding your awareness.
Anyone know how I could get this thrown at my favorite rock star? I know he's democrat and probably is already aware of this guy and these issues, but hey, nothing gets done if people don't do it.
...Geez, so much for not saying a lot.
