Having just enough of a musician bent to come up with the lyrics (and tune) for a chorus bridge...

And not know enough about actually writing it down so that I can write it down and not lose it before my damned work-shift is over in eight hours.

And it was all nice and catchy and sounded good, too.

Have you got a recording device of some kind? Besides writing down the lyrics (which can jog your memory of the tune later), you can record yourself humming or singing the tune. Then you can either get a friend who knows how to transcribe music, or you can learn how yourself and come back to the recording later. :D Ta DAH! :D
