Tried again to hook up mates computer to the modem, and this time it worked fine, so I have no idea what the malfunction was last night (other than maybe the god of computers knew I wouldn't touch her comp if the 'net had been working. Last night, at any rate.).

So now we're down to just getting a new router, which works for me (Especially since I wasn't looking forward to the kerfluffle that would have occurred if digging out the old DSL cable from under all these damned books and shit became necessary.)

So, definitely have net connection, but it's back on mate's computer (Because although I'll share the laptop, I really rather wouldn't want to have to), and she has BOATLOADS of RP posts to catch up on.

So...technically, I'm still off the air. :/

Eh. The new router didn't do the trick either; it'll take one computer, but not both. So there was more than just the router problem going on.
