Getting to work two hours earlier than everyone else, then figuring out that one of you co-workers has made off with a tool that is very important to your job and it'll take at least that long to be able to get hold of said tool, or another like it becuase the spares are locked in the supervisor's desk...who will also not be here for another two hours.

...Looks like I start locking my box cutter up at night. This is the second time in a month it's been 'borrowed' off my desk after I leave and not brought back after being used.

Either that, or I start packing spares myself (thing is, the kind I use is heavy duty and EXPENSIVE...don't know if the budget hawks will let me get hold of another if my current one winds up completely gone, let alone two).

Man, I hope the guy who I think took it (since he took it last time and it went home with him that time as well), has it and brings it back.

FEH, I say.

Did the box-cutter return to your possession?

It did, and yeah, it was the same person who took it.

He had one in his pocket, he told me, but mine was more readily available, so he used it and then carried it out with him.

...

Yeah. Don't know how to react to that, you know?

Not really.

Maybe you should just lock up the boxcutters if you're not going to take them home.

Clearly, ol boy has a walking fingers problem.

Talked with the lady Yes, she got them and she promises she will write you a thank you note. Seems they're working as well.

She does say sorry, one of the roomies brought them in and left them somewhere she doesn't go so it took a while before she saw them.

Cool, as long as she got 'em and they're working fine, I'm happy. And tell her she's gushed at me enough and to save it for you. *g*

Thank you, thank you for being the go between ^^.

Oh, I don't mind at all. Gave me an excuse to call her and chatter without worrying about her minutes. ;)
