hi there! i just wanted to let you know that i have added you to my friends' list. i came across your journal because my last name is actually silverthorne and i was curious as to who had the username. after reading you user info, it would seem that you, my best friend, and i all have a whole lot in common, and so we both thought we'd like to have the opportunity to chat with you (she asked me to let you know that she'll add you once she gets a chance to be back in front of her computer). i am an artist, my best friend is a writer and we have both experienced, in varying degrees, incidents similar to those that you have experienced.

anyway, just wanted to say hi, and let you know that there are two ladies (and i use that term loosely *grin*) up here in ontario who understand and look forward to maybe getting to know you a bit better. :)

Hi there...pleased to meet you. Sorry I was so long in returning a greeting...I've had a shiny object problem for the past two weeks...^^;

So your name is actually Silverthorne? Wow...I knew we had a town on Colorada state called Silverthorne, but I've never seen it listed as a last name...

I actually decided to use it as a screen name once I got tired of using badly-strung together Japanese kanjii as a moniker.

Originally, 'Silverthorne' was the name I used for a table-top RPG campaign that I ran for friends in Arizona for about 4 years before I moved to Texas...

Anyway, pleased to meet you, as I've said, and apologies for the seemingly cold shoulder...welcome...and you've been added...^^

Mmmmm...shiny objects. I'm as bad as my cats when it comes to things like that! :)

My last name is indeed Silverthorne. It became mine when my mum married my step-dad. It apparently originated in England, though my blood is Scottish. Supposedly, if it ends with an "e" (which is far nicer than without the "e" in my opinion *grin*), we are all related. And Silverthorne, Colorado is a beautiful town. :)

Strangely, my brother being a regular visitor to Japan and finding out the correct ones to use, I have the kanjii for "strength" and "beauty" tattooed on the back of my right hip.
