1) Get bananas on the way home; you ache less when you're eating bananas.

2) Slice (and eat as your afternoon snack) the three oranges in the fridge, before they go bad like half the nectarines Dad left behind did.

3) Start the chili as soon as you get home. Do not pass go, do not collect $200. Don't even go swim or even think about touching the computer until you have done that, or else it'll won't be cool enough to package up and put in the freezer by bedtime.

4) If the chili isn't done by seven (although it should be), eat the rest of the omlette from last night instead. Or else pack it for your breakfast Thursday morning.

5) Make a shopping list the next few days for Saturday. Considering all the food you still have, it should be pretty small. MOstly fruits, maybe a red-meat something-or-other (or budget in a trip to Outback), and more fresh veggies. The corn-on-the-cob is looking good.

6) Don't forget to use the bell peppers up, too, when you cook.

I do 'tenderfoot chili'

1 large cna of ranch-style beans
1 large can of diced tomatoes
one med-large saute'd white onion
1 pound of extra lean hamburger--sauteed in with the onions.

mix tmoatoes and beans into large pot while sauteeing the other stuff. Add Pepper, chili powder, seasoned salt, and cayenne pepper to taste.

add in saute'd stuff, mix.

Bring to a two miunte boil.

Turn down to a simmer for one to three hours, depending on how much juice you want to lose, and how strong you want the cayenne to be. Other spices taste for and add as needed with simmering.
