Here's mine.

The resident anole The resident anole
Unfortunately, I couldn't get a good pic of his face.

This little dude has been showing up everyday (except when it rains) between two and four pm and hangs out on the rail until he either gets bored, or finds something tasty in the bushes below to catch.

It's interesting to note that anoles (lizards in general) represent dreams, dreaming, and what you can bring back with you from them to use in the real world. Maybe my resident 'wild pet' can help with my creative endeavors. *g*

ETA Sidenote: for those of you who care (not many, I know, but I gotta geek at you all)

Vampires: Los Muertos is playing on SciFi at 12 noon central time. So, if you really want to try and catch Jon-as-a-vampire-hunter, there you go. Enjoy.

And his hair stays....perfect!

At least he has the good grace to have a glass jaw when he gets hit by one. *g*

...I still find Zoe-actress's voice annoying as hell.

Oh yes. Her delivery is almost more flat and wooden than Andie Macdowell's (in every movie she's ever done), and that's saying something. Maybe they have the same acting coach.

Heh. I'd lick Jon Bon Jovi's bloody knuckles, and I'm not even half-vampire.

...yeah, I don't get it either. I see reviewers talking her up everywhere, but I've never seen a movie where she wasn't whiny, flat, and...well...kinda in the way of the pretty scenery. I dunno. Woman just doesn't do it for me. And like most of the movie, I think if they'd actually put some work into the plot, and got a better cast--at least for Zoe and Ray (I happen to like Sancho and Rodrigo), it could have been good. Or at least as entertaining as it could be for a sequel to Vampires, with James Wood.

(and they just cut out the whole part with Derek yelling and Shancho going 'fuck you'--that scene is a lot mroe intense with that part left in. Bah. SciFi can bleep other movies but not this one?)

If I wasn't sure that there wasn't desert dirt (probably) and tire oil on thise knuckles, I would too. As it is, 'll wait 'til he cleans his hand up a little better. *g*

That's basic cable for you. Yesterday "Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back" was on, which I truely love, but I didn't even turn it on because I knew it would have been bleeped and edited to shreds.

Vampires: Los Muertos needs to be just a bit more like The Lost Boys, IMO. Now there's a vampire-hunting movie that WORKS! Good cast, good soundtrack...

*nods* yeah. I've got that one floating around-no, wait, fuck. I left that one behind. Damn. Ah well.

But yeah, it could have been really really good. But John Carpenter lent his name, and it was his partner in crime that scripted and directed it. Mind you, the guy is good at directing, especially when it comes to the cinematography...but crap at script writing and good ideas.

I like the western sounding music score...it's just a bit sparse. But then, I keep thinking 'Jon's in it--there should be Bon Jovi songs...'

Which...is bad. Because Bon Jovi cna do down on your luck songs, but...

And at that point I'd likewise be tempted to put a guitar in Derek's hand like I did with an alternate universe teen version of him, and let him loose.

And at that point, I think we would have a horror-comedy...

(watching the movie)

John had a shirt that said "Army" on it like that. When he wore it someone would always ask about it. He'd say that he had two others at home that said "Leggy" and "Hairy" on them. Now I'm ruined forever, and during this oh-so-serious scene I'm all "heh heh heh Jon Bon Jovi is 'army'."

Oh man. Now I'm going to have to replace those icons over on Derek's LJ (or else never let you see them). XD.

Makes me wonder how much of his costuming for the movie was out of his own wardrobe. It would explain the dark brown suede jacket...

Which also NEVER gets dirty!

I guess if you have the cast provide their own wardrobes, it can help keep production costs down. That leaves you more money in the budget for kerosene and cigarette lighters.

It's a vampire hunter skill; the ability to never get dirty and grimy no matter how gross the place you're in is.

Unless, of course, some sort of visual "EW ACK GROSS!" moment is needed.

This movie was pretty low budget (which explains the poor quality, and, sadly, why Jon probably managed to snag the lead role, rather than because of his talent or even celeb status), so it wouldn't surprise me at all to find out that the actors might have been asked to provide their own clothing.

I also suspect most of the budget was spent on the dead missionaries scene and the pyro work.

Oh wait...you mean JOHN, as in your husband.

..yes, there is only one Jo(h)n in my reality, can you tell?

Your husband has quick wit. ^^

He does that. :)

I have the two for me.

Actually, I have a list of Top Five Jo(h)ns. John is at the top, with Jon Bon Jovi forever at #2. Then, fighting for the final three spots are Jon Stewart, Johnny Depp, John Cusack, and John Corbett.

Yeah, right now I just have the one. :)

JD is cute, JS has a hell of a brain, and I adore Cusak in anything...but...yeah. :D
