So, in all the spamming yesterday, I forgot to mention that I love the engineering department at work, and they apparently love me. Three of them wound up out in the parking lot with me, getting the tire fixed.
One of them even dragged out the rubber kit and plugged the hole.
(Yes, I realize how that can sound if you happen to be in the right frame of mind. *eg*)
Seriously though, they got the tire pumped up, at which point, all of us got the wonderful thrill of hearing a full-blown whistle coming from the hole where the leak was.
After rolling the car a little, we found the cause; a short but wide screw.
Yep, folks, my tire was screwed, in more ways than one.
So, anyhow, rolled me over to the doors outside the shop, got the plug kit, removed the screw, plugged the hole, pumped the tire back up.
And it didn't cost me a thing, including the stress of driving to a tire shop on a tire I knew was bad.
I love my engineers. ^^
