The week in brief review...
Sep. 14th, 2007 11:35 amIdeas have started again in the old brain, now that the change over stress at work is mostly over.
Good and Bad at the same time--I've gotten 'small' enough to fit well into some old clothes I kept around...by the same token, I have to replace bras, some pants and half my scrubs with something smaller.
I have made the unhappy discovery that if I plug my Zune player into the laptop for a recharge and I've deleted the music library from said laptop, the Zune will randomly pick 50 songs to keep and erase the rest of its memory. Meaning I've been spending the last two nights of computer time reloading all the CD's, editing out songs I know I don't want to hear, retagging CD sets so they play all at once if I chose just that 'album' to play, and so forth. :/ I'm just glad I had the brains to burn all the Bon Jovi extras into their own hard copy CD before I cleared the laptop, or there would have been much anguished begging from me to you guys. Guess this means I need to get an independant charger for the Zune...and should go ahead and get that extra hard-drive for the music, since my collection thus far takes up 30% of the laptop's drive, and I kinda need that space for the memory-hogs known as my art programs.
I had four slices of pizza for lunch yesterday becuase our director bought us all a 'thank you' lunch. There has been and will be much swimming to rectify thia situation ASAP. Also, I liked Clue's 'buddah ball' solution...where's a good place to find the ball (My tummy is getting flatter, but I'm still wide-hipped. :( ).
And...that's it.

Thank you!

Date: 2007-09-14 05:21 pm (UTC)OTOH, I'd be afraid to plug the Zune back in, after all you went through last night.

Date: 2007-09-14 05:26 pm (UTC)Eh, it's actually no big deal--I have everything on CD, either store bought or burned, anyway, including stuff I download from folks on the net (yes, even Dan's 'Phoenix' :) ). It's just the time it takes up to get everything on the hard drive, the editing, the deleting, blah blah blah. Just takes time that I could be using to write, play vid games, take a walk, etc. :)
But yeah, I'll check those default settings a little closer when I get home. Thanks!

When I had found and lost Alan Parson's Project's 'Tales of Mystery and Imagination' five times in a row because of hard-drive issues, I learned fast to burn it as soon as I downloaded it if I could. I always have at least ten CD-R's on hand at any given time, just in case.
