So yeah, I was Grouchy McGrouchy today, at least internally. And really, really tired. I'm beginning to think that maybe it's not just the Benedryl, both because, well, I didn't take any today, and because it's been over a week that I've been tired like this off and on. Which means I may be looking into that first doctor visit on the new insurance sooner than I'd planned, now that the card's arrived.

Anyhow, made it through the rest of the day without ripping anyone's head off, got mollification in knowing my super is also REALLY ANNOYED both with the surgery tech and the Ross representative (she told the Ross rep off, actually, and put it in no uncertain terms that the woman is to never, ever pull product from the store-room again. And I suspect there's going to be an inter-department meetign over it too since it was the nursery nurses who told the lady they weren't getting their formula...). So, okay. work went well despite my inner 'tude.

Came home, thought about swimming, and decided to take a two hour nap instead, and then an hour long tub soak, in which more snoozing occured. And now I'm feeling MUCH better. I'll prolly head off to bed again earlier than usual as well, since some of my problem does seem to be due to just plain being tired. Still going to get it checked out of it persists, though.

Also! Heh. Someone called while I was napping. At the time, I turned over and went back to sleep rather than answer the phone. Now, some of you all might remember I was in a bit of a mess in regards to the electric and rent being due off the same check, and after some thought and a talk to the apartment managers, I was gonna pay the electric as planned and wait until after hours on the third of the month (That's the last day of grace period before you're late and end up owing another fifty on the rent), and hope to god that no one actually sent the check in until the fifth to be cashed.

Which, of course, was NOT the option I wanted, but would have have to risk (or, conversely, I would have had to take a lump and just add on the extra fifty when I wronte the check...which would have been very very financially painful for me).

Anyhow, what does this has to do with the phone call?

When I went to get my eyes examined for the year, I wound up paying out of pocket because Walmart doesn't accept my insurance outright. Instead, you have to fill out paper-work, pay the full cost, and then they cut you a check as reimbursement once they've confirmed with the insurance company that you're actually, you know, insured. Weeeeelllll, I also went before I had the new insurance cards from the new company, and didn't have them from the old company either (since the old company doesn't provide them--the place you go is supposed to inquire themselves...and...yeah...it's all convoluted...). Anyhow, the short version is that, technically, I had no insurance that would cover the cost, and Walmart was the only place that would take me in as a walk in, which I needed because I was on my last pair of lenses and they were going on a month old. I pretty much wrote off getting a reimbursement because of that, and just swallowed the cost.

So, this call? Was the doctor's office calling me. To tell me my reimbursement check was in.

Which means now? Once I go pick up the check, I'll have enough in the account to pay both rent AND electric this time around and not be late! WHOOT!

Let me tell you, the timing on this? Gotta be planned. And boy am I ever thankful for it. :)
